I’m adding new choreography and everything to it but using the same songs ( duh ). I rewrote the script but it still has the same idea and some of the lines are the same but not as long. Help?

Yes, in both cases.
Case 1: You actually rewrite the script, meaning that it is based off of the Disney Corporation’s High School Musical. That means you’d have to contact some head honcho at Disney and pay for the rights of High School Musical in order to have the PERMISSSION to rewrite it.
Case 2: You are putting on High School Musical but your interpretation of it (ie somebody wants to do Jesus Christ Superstar but they want to do it as if the whole thing was done in modern day Los Vegas). In which case you would still have to pay for the PRODUCTION rights to put on High School Musical.
Hope that helps.
I think you have ti get rights to it or something.
